Matariki

Matariki Starts in may And comes back in july


Matariki Names:


Ururangi  
Waiti
Waita
Waipuna-a-rangi
Tupu-a-nuku
Tupu-a-rangi


Matariki is the Māori name for the cluster of stars also known as the Pleiades.


Matariki translates as eyes of god or little eyes.


You can only see 7 stars but in total there is several hundred.


I learnt There are heaps of different legends about Matariki
